A harmonious balance

Apollolaan 171 is located in the middle of a neighborhood where the decorative brick architecture of the Amsterdam School – and Berlage in particular – sets the tone. With a transparent glass front that reflects the vastness of the surroundings and the imposing buildings, one side of Apollolaan 171 forms a modern counterpart to the historic architectural style of the early twentieth century.

On the other side, custom bricks create a decorative woven effect; a building style that is precisely in line with the architecture of the Amsterdam School. Apollolaan 171 thus connects past and present as yin and yang in a harmonious balance. It’s relevant for the city and a characteristic addition to this unique part of Amsterdam South.
